Personal Meetings

For most donors, especially those who recognize your name, a call is more than sufficient. But occasionally, you will come across the rare circumstance that requires an in-person meeting. This includes...

  1. Large philanthropists who have an in-person interview process.
  2. PACs and Unions who have an in-person interview process.
  3. Strangers with large gift capacity.

How to Throw an Event

Digital

Digital fundraising involves both email and advertising.

Emails are an extremely low-cost solution that bring in a regular flow of small-dollar donations. Every candidate and campaign should have a regular, consistent email newsletter. Don't be afraid to be a little bit silly, and make sure every email you write adds value to your audience.

Advertising is outside the scope of this guide, but can be an important tool in your arsenal. Check with your account rep for more information.

Telemarketing and Phone Banking

These are specialized efforts. Talk to your account representative for more information.
